A starboard broadside view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Stratheden (1937) anchored in Grand Harbour, Malta. She has both anchors deployed and accommodation ladders are rigged to shell doors amidships and aft. Each ladder has boats alongside it. Lifeboats 5 and 15 have been launched and she is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on her foremast. Valletta is in the background with St. Barbara's Bastion and Quarry Wharf on the left. The light on the end of St. Elmo Breakwater can be seen beyond the stem of the ship. Negatives numbers P85003 and P85010 were taken on the same occasion.
