A distant starboard bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Stratheden (1937) at anchor off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. She has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships and another ladder is rigged to her lower deck aft. Lifeboats 5 and 15 have been launched and she is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast. The photographer is looking south-east across the harbour from the landing pier showing the end of the Kase breakwater on the left and Fort St. Ivana (Fort St. John) and the Porporela (south) breakwater on the right. A decorative arch has been erected by the side of the fort. Negatives numbers P85017 to P85021 were taken on the same occasion.
