A starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Stratheden (1937) alongside Quarry Wharf in Grand Harbour, Malta. She is berthed stern-on to the wharf and has both anchors deployed. She has accommodation ladders rigged amidships and aft and a number of boats, including a passenger tender and a lighter, are alongside. There are no yards on her masts and she is flying the Blue Peter from her forestay. Motor lifeboats 5 and 15 have been launched. The photographer is looking towards Ricasoli from the Upper Barrakka in Valletta.
