On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) looking aft, down and slightly to starboard from the crosstrees on the foremast while stopped or just under way in an anchorage. Three of the ship's officers are on the starboard side of the bridge deck and two are looking through a wheelhouse window. The helmsman is at the wheel. Two passengers are on the monkey island and others are lining the rails of the promenade deck and the forecastle deck. Awnings are rigged over the bridge wings and on both sides of the boat deck. Negatives numbers P85047 to P85050 were taken on the same occasion.
