A starboard broadside view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) at anchor in an unknown location. Her port anchor is deployed and she has accommodation ladders rigged to two shell doors amidships. Steam tug/tenders are alongside both ladders and the one aft is fully loaded with passengers. The bow of another ship can be seen beyond the Strathmore's stern. The horizon is not quite level.
