On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) looking down on the boat deck from the crosstrees on the mainmast.

On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) while at sea looking forward and down on the rear of the boat deck and the superstructure from the crosstrees on the mainmast. The forward part of the boat deck, most of which is out of the picture, is being used by passengers playing quoits and deck tennis. The rear of the boat deck is laid out for a horse racing session and passengers are gathering to participate or watch the action. The 'horses' are at the start line and the 'jockeys' chairs are beyond the finish line. The tote desk is abaft the engine room ventilators. The upper and lower promenade decks have very few people on them and one person is standing by the end of the swimming pool. Negative numbers P85072 to P85076 were taken on the same occasion.
