A slightly distant port bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) at moorings in San Marco Basin, Venice, Italy. She has accommodation ladders rigged amidships and aft and a water lighter is alongside. A piece of canvas is covering her bow crest. Men on bosun's chairs are painting the funnel and the mainmast. Water bus number 9 is berthed on the right and water bus number 35 is under way passing the Strathmore's bow. The Basilica Santa Maria della Salute and the entrance to the Grand Canal are in the right background.
