A distant port quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) at anchor off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. She has her starboard anchor deployed, accommodation ladders are rigged amidships and aft and lifeboat number 16 has been launched. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm of her foremast. The photographer is looking south-east-by-east over the Old Town harbour showing the landing pier and Fort St. Ivana on the right of the picture. Three of the ship's boats are shuttling back and forth between the ship and the landing pier. The Kase breakwater is on the left. Negatives numbers P85088 to P85092 were taken during the same visit.
