Seascape
A sketch showing Everett's use of form and colour to convey seascapes. A ship is shown in silhouette on the horizon with smoke billowing from its stack. Concentrating on the relationship between sea and sky, the impression of waves is implied by brush strokes of varying colours. The light sky is streaked with yellow and pink and light reflections also play on the surface of the water in the foreground.
