HMS 'Renown'
Inscribed by the artist 'Renown', under the sketch top right. This and the other warship sketch here depict the battlecruiser 'Renown' (1916), as fitted in 1926-1927, apparently lying at moorings. The three pencil sketches of rowing vessels below appear to be naval cutters or whalers, possibly racing each other. The sailing dinghies to the right may also be racing and at least one appears to be a specific type, since it bears the number 14/96 on the sail. It is probably an early form of National (now International) 14, which was certainly a current type at the time of the drawing.
