HMS 'Warspite'
Inscribed by the artist, 'Warspite', lower right beside an unexplained pencil diagram, this is a port-bow wash study of this 1913 battleship dating to1916 as the ship has fore and main topmasts, and a 6-inch gun on her forecastle deck near the mainmast. The topmasts and gun were removed by late 1916. A boat boom may be extended, aft.
