A very distant port near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) at anchor in an unknown location. She is anchored outside a harbour breakwater in the Mediterranean. One of her Lascar seamen is standing on a quayside in the foreground holding a heaving line at the ready as motor tender N approaches laden with passengers. Another of her tenders is heading inwards and is further out in the harbour. Two lateen rigged sailing craft are passing between the breakwaters.
