Lascar crewmen washing the underside of Number 3 hatch cover on board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathnaver (1931). The photographer is by the port forward corner of the hatch looking aft, to starboard and up showing the hatch cover hinged back against the bridge front and two lascar seamen are on a staging washing down the paintwork with soapy water. A few passengers are looking down over the promenade deck screen and one of the ship's officers is looking down from the starboard side of the wheelhouse. A vertical format negative. Negative number P85116 was taken on the same occasion.
