The photographer is in a boat off the starboard quarter looking forward showing a number of lascar seamen working from stagings over the side cleaning the hull of the ship. The breakwater and lighthouse at the entrance to Palermo harbour is in the left background. Negative numbers P85121 to P85123 and P85126 to P85128 were taken on the same occasion.
