A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) at anchor off Split, Yugoslavia.
A slightly distant starboard broadside view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathaird (1932) at anchor off Split, Yugoslavia. She has accommodation ladders rigged to shell doors amidships but they are in the raised position. Lifeboat number 18 has been launched and lifeboat 20 has been swung out and lowered to deck level. One of the ship's motor tenders is in the foreground heading back to the ship and the photographer is in a boat being towed by the motor tender. The image of the ship is slightly out of focus because of the limited depth of field of the camera lens.
