A slightly distant starboard bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathnaver (1931) alongside the Molo Angioino in Naples harbour, Italy. She is berthed port side to the mole and her starboard anchor is deployed. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm and the Italian ensign from the port yardarm on her foremast. The photographer is looking north-by-west showing a coastal passenger steamer in the left foreground heading for the Molo Beverello. In the left background near the water's edge is the Castel Nuovo and on the hilltop above is the Castel Sant'Elmo. Negatives numbers P85144 and P85147 to P85149 were taken on the same occasion.
