A distant port broadside view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathnaver (1931) anchored in an unknown location. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships. Lifeboat number 18 has been launched. The photographer is on board one of her motor tenders as it heads for the ship and in the foreground are two lascar seamen, one of whom is holding a boathook horizontally. The background land is rugged and mountainous. The negative is slightly out of focus. Negatives numbers P85174 and P85175 were taken on the same occasion.
