An informal group of passengers in a public room on board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929).
An informal group of passengers in a public room on board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929). There are sixteen people, nine men and seven women, gathered together in a semi-circle having a sociable drink. Three are occupying a sofa, others are sitting on chairs and seven are standing. They are all looking at the photographer. The room has large six-pane curtained windows on the outboard side, a tiled deck, wood panelled bulkheads and a beamed deckhead and is possibly the verandah cafe on the promenade deck.
