A distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at anchor in Holandsfjorden, Norway
A distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at anchor in Holandsfjorden, norway, during a visit to the Svartisen Glacier. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships with one of her boats alongside it. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on her foremast and the Norwegian flag from the masthead. The photographer is on the shore looking at a stone pier with motor tender A lying just off it and another lifeboat approaching. A local coaster is at anchor on the right with her starboard anchor deployed and her rowing boat launched and heading away from her. Smooth topped mountains with some forests are in the background. Negatives numbers P85227 to P85229, P85277 and P85278 were taken on the same occasion.
