On board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) while under way in the Stockholm Archipelago heading for Stockholm, Sweden. The photographer is looking aft, to port and down from the foremast crosstree showing the port face of the superstructure, the top of the port samson post and one of the cargo derrick winches. A small group of passengers are leaning on the front boat deck rail, some are looking through the forward windows of the first class saloon on 'A' deck and some are on the foredeck.
