Accommodation ladders are rigged to a shell door amidships and to 'C' deck aft with small boats, including dghaisas standing off. She has a full awning rigged over her aft promenade deck and she is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast. Lifeboats 9 and 15 have been launched. Berthed to port of her is an Italian 2-funnelled passenger vessel. The photographer is looking east-by-south from the Upper Barrakka showing the Saluting Battery and St. Barbara Bastion in the foreground. The Royal Navy battlecruiser Repulse (1916), seen from well abaft her port side, is at moorings in Grand Harbour and she has a full set of awnings rigged.
