A lascar seaman holding the berthing rope of motor tender A from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) alongside a wooden slipway at Aandalsnes, Norway. Another lascar is using a boathook to hold the tender against the slipway. A local boy is near the end of the slipway and the Viceroy of India is anchored in the background. Because of the depth of field of the camera lens only the lascar on the slipway is in focus. A vertical format negative.
