A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at anchor in Isfjord, off Aandalsnes, Norway. Her starboard anchor is deployed, she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships, she is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on her foremast and lifeboat 15 has been launched. Motor tender F is under way between the ship and the shore. The photographer is on shore looking at the wooden slipway with two local boats alongside it. A uniformed P & O man is standing on the slipway talking to a boy in one of the boats. A uniformed Norwegian is also standing on the slipway. The negative is captioned 'Naes' which is the name given to this location by tour operators.
