A distant port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) in the Saltsjon at Stockholm, Sweden. She has both anchors deployed and is moored to a buoy at the stern. She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast and the Swedish flag from the masthead. An accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships but it is in the raised position. A rubbish lighter is alongside an open shell door. The photographer is looking east from the Skeppsbron showing a pontoon pier in the foreground. Alongside another pier are the harbour tugs Frigga (fl. 1934) and Stromakaren (fl. 1930). In the left background is the after part of the Holland-Amerika Lijn cruise ship Rotterdam (1908).
