A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) stopped in an unknown location. She has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships but she is not flying the anchor ball daymark to show she is at anchor. She has the Blue Peter at the port yardarm on the foremast and what appears to be a dark cross on a light background as a national flag at the masthead. Lifeboat 12 has been launched. The horizon is not quite level. The negative is very slightly out of focus.
