She has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships and one of her boats is alongside it. She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm and the Norwegian flag from the masthead on the foremast. Lifeboat number 15 has been launched. The photographer is in a slightly elevated position ashore and in the foreground is the Viceroy of India's motor tender C passing the coastal passenger.cargo steamer Salten (1908) which is seen from off her starboard bow approaching a pier.
