A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at anchor in an unknown location. She has both anchors deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm on the foremast and a man is climbing the mast above the crosstree. A private motor launch is alongside amidships. The stern of the ship is just out of the picture.
