A starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at anchor in an unknown location. Her starboard anchor is deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships with a local boat is alongside it. Another local motor launch, a steam coaster and one of the ship's own motor tenders are alongside the hull. The Blue Peter is flying from the starboard yardarm on her foremast and lifeboat number 15 has been launched. A hilly coast is in the background.
