A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) at anchor in an unknown location. She has an accommodation ladder rigged to 'C' deck aft and at least two of her lifeboats have been launched. The Blue Peter is flying from the port yardarm on her foremast. A sailing dinghy is close amidships. The negative is chemically stained.
