She has accommodation ladders rigged to a shell door amidships and to 'C' deck aft and local boats are by them. She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast. The photographer is in the Danieli Hotel on the Riva degli Schiavoni looking east-south-east showing the piers and craft along the Riva Schiavoni to the Riva Sette Martiri.
