She has accommodation ladders rigged to a shell door amidships and to 'C' deck aft . She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast. The photographer is on a lower floor in the Danieli Hotel on the Riva degli Schiavoni looking east-south-east showing the piers and craft along the Riva Schiavoni to the Riva Sette Martiri.
