She has accommodation ladders rigged to a shell door amidships and to 'C' deck aft . She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast and she has an awning rigged over her aft promenade deck. The photographer is looking east-south-east from St. Mark's Campanile showing the Doge's Palace in the foreground. Piers for passenger vessels, waterbuses and tugs are along the Riva Schiavoni to the Riva Sette Martiri. An Italian Navy Leone class (1923) destroyer is at moorings in the right background and she has a full set of awnings rigged.
