She has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships with a boat alongside it. She is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast. The photographer is in a slightly elevated position ashore looking east-south-east across a promenade which has an ornate stone balustrade at the edge and a flight of stone steps with a similar balustrade on either side of it.
