A very distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of an unidentified cruise ship under way with the sun on the horizon beyond it. The ship has two tall thin funnels, two masts, samson posts fore and aft and prominent ventilators between and abaft the funnels. A line of hills is in the background with the sun only just above the horizon. The photographer is looking over the stern rail of a British ship with the red ensign in the foreground. A vertical format negative. The Marine Photo Service index states that this is the Orient Line Otranto (1925) but she only had two samson posts forward and not four as are shown on this ship.
