Passengers embarked in a motor lifeboat which is just pulling away from the accommodation ladder on board the Orient Line cruise ship Orford (1928) which is at anchor in an unknown Norwegian location. Three officers and a seaman are on the accommodation ladder which is rigged to the promenade deck. The photographer is looking down and aft from the port side of the aft end of the boat deck. Motor lifeboat number 14 is approaching the foot of the ladder and another boat is off the port quarter. A vertical format negative. Negative number P85396 was taken on the same occasion.
