Lowering lifeboats on board an unidentified cruise ship while under way at sea. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard from amidships just above the boat deck showing lifeboat number 11 being swung out from its cradle above boat 11A. Lifeboat number 13 has been swung out from its cradle above 13A and has been lowered to boat deck level. The lifeboats are all clinker built wooden hulls and boat 11 is fitted with a stowed mast and sail.
