The photographer is looking forward from the starboard side of the poop showing a carvel built motor lifeboat on a raised platform above the promenade deck. Further forward are pairs of clinker built lifeboats on the boat deck. One of the ship's senior officers is leaning on a guardrail looking aft at the photographer. The negative is captioned "Evening". A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers P85440 to P85442 were taken on board the same ship.
