On board the Cunard White Star Line cruise ship Carinthia (1925) looking forward over the forecastle while under way at sea bound for Iceland. The photographer is on the bridge deck, just to starboard of the centreline, showing the foremast with its aft derricks stowed against the mast and the forward derricks stowed horizontally. A stove pipe is fixed alongside her port samson post. The sea is relatively calm and the horizon is empty. The negative is captioned "Iceland bound".
