A starboard near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the spritsail barges Pudge (1922) and Oak (1881) under sail in Long Reach, River Medway during the running of the Medway Barge Match. Their staysails are white and the other sails are red. To port of the Pudge is the Decima (1899) with her bowsprit topped. They are all heading down river. Two merchant motor vessels are alongside the Kingsnorth Poweer Station jetty and they are the colliers Rogate (1967) on the left and the Rora Head (1980) on the right. Negative numbers N86888CT to N86894CT inclusive were taken during the same race.
