Four unidentified spritsail barges and a bawley under sail in the River Medway, probably near the start of a Medway Barge Match. Three of the barges and the bawley are seen from off the starboard beam and the fourth barge is viewed from fine off her starboard bow. The two barges in the centre of the picture appear to be in collision with each other. The barge on the left has a Sunblest Bread logo on her topsail and the barge on the right has PREEDCRETE on her topsail. Negative number PCT14083 was taken on the same occasion.
