Spritsail barges are other sailing craft assembled in the River Medway, Kent, presumably at the start of a Medway Barge Match. The swim-headed barge on the left, seen from off her starboard beam, is the Montreal (1902). In the centre and seen from fine off her starboard bow is a barge with white sails and in the topsail is a drawing of a crowned head.
