XR4 installed in Portable PC
XR4 in portable PC format, ‘Husky Hunter’ Hunter 16 ruggedized PC; a hand held computer with built in GPS receiver. This is one of the first GPS-enabled mobile PCs in the world. It was aimed at the GIS market as it could combine data collection with location. It provided precise positioning with post processing. It was used on weather ships and had a 2 to 4 hour duration battery.
