Telecom CellSync Timing Receiver

Made byNavSymm in 1992, this is a much simpler and hence cheaper GPS Time and Frequency device than previous versions (see ZBA9323). The primary output is a reference 10 MHz stable frequency and a 1 pulse per second precise time marker. This GPS receiver does not expect to move. Instead it assumes it is stationary and over time averages its position to get one as accurate as it can.

After it has converged its Position, this is held fixed with a stationary assumption, so the unit only has to solve for Time and Frequency which allows it to calibrate its internal ovenised oscillator so that it can produce its accurate reference frequency and time pulse outputs.
