GPS 'XR7' SoC
Microchip. Made for GPS Symmetricom XR7 products. XR7 GPS SoC (System on Chip) consisting of a 12 channel GPS, an ARM 7 CPU, RAM, ROM, UARTS, time and frequency peripherals and a small section of programable hardware logic.
Made by a research and development team based in Daventry, UK this chip was their first generation microchip where an external CPU was not needed and in conjunction with the above GPS RF MCM, it allowed the products to be much smaller and lower power.
Some external RAM and Flash was also needed. 0.35 micrometre.
