Cruiser yacht racing in Pinup Reach in the River Medway, Kent. There are eight boats in the picture, they are viewed from off the starboard quarter and are racing downriver with colourful spinnakers set as well as their mainsail. Five of the boats have sail numbers 2, K5619, K133, K143 and K4078. K5619 is named Funny Girl (fl. 1980), K133 is Akela-B (1974) and K4078 is Uforia (fl. 1980). Darnet Ness is on the right, Kingsnorth Power Station is in the left background and Kingsnorth Jetty is in the centre background with two colliers alongside it. Grain Power Station is in the distance on the right. Negatives numbers PCT14315 to PCT14325 were taken on the same occasion
