A distant port bow view of the spritsail barge Anglia (1898) under sail passing Garrison Point, Sheerness, into the Thames Estuary from Saltpan Reach, River Medway. All of her sails are red. In the centre of the picture and seen from almost dead ahead is the Maldon oyster smack William (1889) with a white staysail and red foresail and mainsail. Her port registry MN15 is on her mainsail. Five other spritsail barges are under sail in the Medway in the background. Grain Power Station is on the right. Negatives numbers PCT14372 to PCT14375 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
