A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the oyster smack Victory (1885) and the staysail barge Ironsides (1900) under sail at the start of a barge match in the Thames Estuary. The London registered Victory has her port registry LO111 on her hull. The Ironsides is setting a boom to port and she has the RDL logo on her topsail. Other barges are in the background and in the far distance on the left is one of the Maunsell sea forts.
