A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the bowsprit spritsail barges May (1891) and Gladys (1901) under sail in Gillingham Reach, River Medway. They are in very light airs and both have staysails and jibsails set. May is on the left with a Tate + Lyle logo on her topsail and Gladys is on the right with a Sunblest Bread logo on her topsail. The entrance locks to Chatham dockyard basins are in the left background. Negatives numbers PM2355/27A to PM2356/36A were taken on the same day.
