In the left foreground is the afterpart of the oyster smack Charlotte Ellen (1907) and she has her port registry CK258 on her mainsail. Off the starboard quarter of the Mermaid in the Maldon registered smack Fly (1875) and her port registry MN17 is on her mainsail. Negatives numbers PM2359/2 to PM2364/37 were taken on the same day.
