A wooden built hulk with the name Gerda painted on it in Hoo Marina, Kent, at low tide. The hulk has a rounded bow and a flat transom and wooden davits are hanging over the stern. She may have been a ketch originally but Gerda is unlikely to have been her name in service as no wooden vessel of a suitable size can be traced in the Mercantile Navy List. She is alongside a swim-headed mooring lighter. Negatives numbers PM2365/7 to PM2369/28 were taken on the same occasion.
